Why am I running for the 41st Congressional District in California?
We the People need Real representation, someone to stand up for the Citizens of this District and Nation, not Career Politicians. We need someone to go to Washington that is willing to make hard decisions, to reduce the size of Government, to cut programs that do not work, to Abolish departments that are wasteful. The Government needs to be restrained, reduced and brought back inside the limits of the Constitution.
For too long I have watched as people were elected and passed legislation that was outside of their authority. They passed laws to implement their own agenda and trampled on the rights of the Citizens of this Great Nation. I have watched as Supreme Court Justices and Federal Judges made rulings based on their own beliefs instead of the Intent of the Law, this is wrong and needs to be corrected.
The Federal Government was created by the States to Protect and Promote the well-being of the States not to Control the States. The Government should be efficient, effective and as small as possible.
I believe the Federal Government should protect our borders. Our borders are a matter of National Security as well as immigration.
I believe the Government should create an environment of independence rather than dependence. Regulations that protect the Citizens not restrict them. Regulations that promote business growth and job creation not hinder them.
I KNOW I can stand strong for the Citizens of this District and Nation and not buckle under the pressure that most politicians do. I want our Constitutional Rights back and am not willing to be bought by the highest bidder.
A Congressman’s job is to represent all the people and to do the will of the people, within the authority of the Constitution. I will listen to you and represent you in Washington. I will vote according to the will of the people as long as it is within Constitutional authority, and will not put my own agenda upon the people. I will stand for what is right. I do not represent special interests. I will not be bought, nor will I back down. I am not a career politician, but am a common-sense citizen just like you (I prefer the word Statesman). I see that our house (the United States of America) is in need of repair; and as part of the team in Washington D.C., I believe I can make a difference and help repair our home - a home which is unique in all of history.
